	New York New York at the beginning of January 2008
	Java - Indonesia 2009 Two amazing places in Java; Famous Bromo Volcano (2303m) with Batok nearby and Gunung Semeru in the background (the highest on Java, 3676m) creating Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park. Sunrise photos taken from Gunung Penanjakan viewpoint (2770m) The other place is Borobudur, the biggest Buddhist temple in the world, on the UNESCO list.
	Gunung Rinjani - Lombok, Indonesia Mount Rinjani, 3726m, 3rd highest volcano in Indonesia. I was lucky enough to go up there just two weeks before it erupted and access was forbidden; technically it's Gunung Baru ('New Mountain') in a crater lake Segara Anak ('Child of the Sea') that is active. Photographs are taken during the sunrise on the top (note huge shadow created by the mountain) and around during the 3-day trek. Last photos are taken from Gili Trawangan, from where Lombok Island with the whole volcano massif could be seen.
	Komodo Dragons & Monkies in Indonesia Komodo Dragons are one of these unusual and rare animals on our planet. They live only on a few small Indonesian islands (Komodo, hence the name, but also Rinca, part of Flores and Gili Motang) and these biggest lizards in the world cannot be found anywhere else. Male can reach up to 3m and 70kg! They eat rarely, even just once a month but when they are hungry then stay away, their usual dinner consists of birds, monkeys, horses and even water buffalos! So they could easily catch a human, what did happen in the past. These dragons below were taken on the Rinca island. Other, not such a rare animal is monkey, especially a grey long-tail monkey. They are often not afraid of humans and can suddenly approach and steal food, glasses and anything they can quickly grab and run! 'Cheeky monkey' expression does not come from nowhere!
	Indonesia 2009 - various Selection of photos from few Indonesian islands; temples on Lombok, paradise islands on a boat cruise (Kelor, Satonda, Flores) with amazing see and always incredible sunsets; rice terraces on Bali and Flores, cliffs on Bali and colourfull Kelimutu lakes on Flores.
